🌕 Ram Navami

Besides this, Nirmohi Akhara organizes and leads Yatras (pilgrimages) to important religious sites such as Ayodhya, Prayagraj, and other sacred places connected to the Ramayana and Vaishnavism. Recent Spiritual Congregations
1. Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Ceremony – Ayodhya (January 22, 2024)
The Nirmohi Akhara played a prominent role in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. For the first time, heads of all nine branches of the Akhara shared the stage, symbolizing unity within the sect. Mahant Dinendra Das, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, participated in the rituals. However, some members, like Mahant Purushottam Das, expressed concerns over being sidelined in the temple’s construction process and chose not to attend the ceremony.
2. Inauguration of Ram Lalla Temple – Sonipat, Haryana (April 2024)
On the occasion of Ram Navami, the Nirmohi Akhara inaugurated a grand Ram Lalla temple in Sonipat, Haryana. The seven-day ‘pran pratishtha’ rituals culminated with the installation of a Makrana marble idol of Lord Rama in his child form. The temple features twelve golden arches depicting scenes from the Ramayana, emphasizing the Akhara’s dedication to Lord Rama’s devotion.
3. Preparations for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 – Prayagraj
The Nirmohi Akhara is actively preparing for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj. As one of the 13 recognized akharas, Nirmohi Akhara will participate in the sacred ‘Shahi Snan’ (royal bath) rituals, which are central to the Kumbh Mela’s spiritual significance.
