Historical Saints of Nirmohi Akhara
The legacy of Nirmohi Akhara is deeply rooted in the lives of its illustrious historical saints, who upheld and propagated the teachings of Sanatan Dharma through centuries of devotion, discipline, and spiritual wisdom. These saints were not only spiritual warriors but also protectors of Hindu temples, scriptures, and traditions during challenging times in India’s history.
Formed in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, the Akhara evolved as a strong Vaishnav sect with saints who combined the spirit of renunciation (vairagya) with courage and knowledge.
